Zonta International is comprised of a network
of 33,000 successful executives in business
and the professions working together to
advance the status of women. The
challenges are great but so is the satisfaction
found in service.
The opportunities abound in Montgomery and
Fulton counties, but also in the world
community. Through Zonta International
programs we can help women around the
world. The Zonta International Foundation
funds programs to help women reach their
dreams through educational opportunities, to
stop violence, and to improve women's lives
through a variety of international service
projects. Zonta of Montgomery-Fulton
participates in Zonta programs at all levels.
The Zonta Club of Montgomery-Fulton has
donated more than $66,000 to the
Amsterdam Memorial Foundation, which
provides mammograms to underinsured and
uninsured women. The club has provided
funds to support local efforts against
Domestic Violence, has sponsored a Young
Women's Investment program, provides
scholarship funding for women returning to
the workforce, has spearheaded a Women's
Cardiac Awareness program with St. Mary's
Hospital in Amsterdam, NY, and provides
support to seniors through social events at
the Sanford Women's Home.
Zonta of Fulton-Montgomery also maintains
memberships within the Chambers of
Commerce in both counties.
